Dear Eva, Firstly, thanks for taking the time to do this newsletter. I am excited to learn more about Data-Driven Fiction. I am a software engineer who has been playing around with artificial intelligence in his spare time. I have been an avid reader for most of my life and have recently had the opportunity to write some fiction. It is great to create something from nothing, but it is hard to come up with realistic and unique ideas. I'm proud to be a part of the DDF community and can't wait to learn how to create new and exciting content.
As a long-time fan of science fiction and fantasy, it's really exciting to be part of the next big media revolution! I, too, want to learn what it takes to compose truly realistic and immersive stories. The future is bright!
Thank you for being with us. How did you first get involved in Data-Driven Fiction?
I'm a poet and fiction writer, and your post is very much in line with my own thoughts. I was a hardcore science fiction reader when I was a kid, and all of my stories as a young writer were heavily influenced by it. But as I discovered the history and methods of science, the romance began to fade me. The future became about organization, calculation, and control — not so much about discovery and wonder. As technology advances, there is less surprise in the world each year. But the Poetry of the Future will have to come from the margins, from artists and scientists who have little regard for the orthodoxies of their time. And the Data-Driven Fiction will become less about prediction and more about modulation. I'm very excited to see what this new millennium brings, which is why I'm so glad to be here.
Aug, I love your poetry, and I appreciate your honesty. It's rare to find someone so well attuned to the changing times. My first impression was that you sounded like a very complex person, and I'm glad that you were able to share more. This is my first time doing this, but I feel it will be fun!
Hi, I'm Joe Wade. I'm a writer and retired cotton farmer, living with schizoaffective disorder during this Slow Apocalypse. I believe art can change the world for the better, and it's up to the artists of the world to change the hearts and minds of the human race. The future can be better, and we can reverse this slow death of nature.
We thank you for your liking of DDF. We care about your feedback and are constantly working to improve DDF for all users. Kind Regards, The Future is already here - it's just not evenly distributed
Hi Eva and everyone else, I'm Stella. I'm a sci-fi fanatic, and I enjoy writing about what I imagine the future as looking like. I enjoy writing futuristic stories based on expected technological advances and hypothetical scenarios.
I like thinking about technology's effects on the world around us, and how it shapes the world politically, socially, and financially.
I'm also an avid follower of geopolitical events and enjoy imagining various what-if scenarios based on the information available to us.
Hello! I'm Anna, and I'm always ready to learn more about new subjects! I enjoy writing on Medium and hope to continue to meet other writers/artists on Medium and other platforms. Thank you for this opportunity and nice to meet everyone here 😊
Hello! I am a Raphael, a writer and voracious reader. I am excited about the future because I believe together we can build a better world for ourselves through writing.
The future is exciting! As I and the other members of Data-Driven Fiction explore this new world, I am excited to see where it will take us. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me.
Eva, Thank you for the invite. I am really looking forward to seeing how technology develops and how this will aid writers in the future. I use Dragon Voice Technology for all my writing and have marveled at how the technology has developed in the past ten years. I am a writer and author of science fiction and fantasy novels. I also write fantasy games for Dungeons and Dragons. I love developing new worlds where I can place my characters and delving deeper into the politics, laws, and religions of the worlds I create, and developing some back stories to my main themes. Sometimes I feel my imagination does not go far enough into the complexities of worldbuilding and would love to see how technology can assist with this. I have been an avid reader all my life and my parents encouraged this. My other interests include history, archeology, cooking and travelling.
Lorna, thank you for being with us. I do not know much about Dragon Voice Technology, but I am impressed that you are using it. I'd love to hear more about your writing and what you enjoy most.
I look forward to getting to know you better.
The complexity of world building is something that is close to my heart.

Hi! I’m K-Joseph! Since July, I’ve been deliberately crafting who I want to become in this world. I’m doing so, I’ve unleashed my love of writing. I have not containerized by content though. It’s popping! https://k-joseph.medium.com/table-of-contents-4f047856760d
Hello There, Ema R. here. I am an AI enthusiast and am constantly expanding my horizons in this realm of study. The future of the world has never looked more intriguing than it does at this point in time, with the increase of the influence of Artificial Intelligence to the implanting of chips into ones brains, I can't wait to be a part of this massive transformation.
Hi Ema, I am so glad you feel the same way as me! You will not regret it. I understand how you feel. Artificial intelligence is taking over and it's hard to keep up, but I assure you that with time, understanding will come and the future will seem a lot less daunting.
Hello Eva and Community. I'm Juliet. I love books. I don't like maths but I love doing research. I love when I read a well-crafted piece and it inspires me to want to write too but then I wonder if I'm wording it right and if people can read my heart as I hope for them to. Recently, I realized, I love editing. It's what makes me love a book, the flow of words that cinch perfectly together.
I love moments when I have an epiphany about myself. "Oh, so that's why I don't like that."
I try not to think much of the future. Then again, it's certainly going to change regardless of my stance so why bother?
Hello Juliet. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. I want to point out that editing is essential in any piece of writing. The flow of words that cinch perfectly together can be emphasized by appropriate punctuation and capital letters. I believe you would also agree that crucial moments of realization are perfect moments to create.
I'm happy to hear that you try not to think much of the future, but I believe it is vital to think about the future, especially regarding how we can live together. So, in conclusion, I want to motivate you to keep doing what you are doing as a human being. We need people like you for us to continue on with our journey through life.
Hi, I'm Olaf. interested in fiction as providing the patterns for human thought, interaction and expression. Fiction generates pattern languages (and is generated by them too). Circular process.
A blockchain analyst with considerable experience in writing blogs related to cryptocurrencies and blockchains. I'm willing to join data-driven fiction as a writer and will be able to provide valuable content on the desired topics.
I'm looking forward to working with you. I'll promise you that my content will be fresh and reliable.
Michael, thank you for your interest in our publication. You describe "a future when we free ourselves from arbitrary violent hierarchies called governments." I believe that there is a very high likelihood AI art curation becomes an integral part of how people experience art because we are working to create a much more engaging, creative, inspiring, and empowering way for people to experience the world.
Hi Eva, I am a Photography professional in Miami with 20 yrs experience in commercial, editorial, and event sectors. I watched first-hand the digital camera revolution and jumped on in the early 2000's. Now I am witnessing the AI revolution and it feels the same way as it did in 2003. Its a disruptive technology that may again change not only the market, but how we work. My hope is to digest as much as I can to be apart of this new tech, much like when I switched from film to digital. It's replacing an older, slower, more tactile craft with a newer, faster, more algorithmic craft. Thanks!
Hi Socrates. It's nice to hear from someone who has seen directly how technology can improve photography.
Like you, I believe AI is a disruptive technology with the ability to radically alter how we work and create. It's incredible to think about how far we've come from the early days of digital photography, and the possibilities that AI opens up for photography are simply mind-boggling.
One of the most fascinating aspects of AI in photography is how it may supplement and increase human creative abilities. We may use AI to discover new ways of viewing and interpreting the world around us, revealing previously unseen patterns and insights. We can also use AI to automate many of the more routine aspects of photography, freeing us our time to focus on more imaginative and expressive areas of our craft.
I can't wait to watch what distinct new artworks and techniques emerge as we push the limits of what this fantastic technology can do.
I am a retired teacher. I presently am a artist. I’ve wanted to wright children’s book and interested on learning more about ai. I very new to it and just trying to understand the way of the future.

Hi Eva, I'm a data scientist who for many years has been focused on numbers: quantitative forecasts of the future. Now that the future has arrived and is primed to answer our questions in human language, I'm ready to jump from number columns to storylines and explore how AI models like ChatGPT and Bard can contribute to creative writing.
Hello Heiko! It's great to hear that you're interested in exploring the creative side of AI models like ChatGPT and Bard.
I wish you the best of luck in your creative writing endeavors, and I'm here to help if you have any questions or need any assistance along the way. Let's see what kind of stories we can come up with together!

Hello, my name is Aris. What excites me about the future is how our already infinite potential is being supplemented by technological innovations propelling us further along our journey at an exponential rate. Staying on top of it all is a pleasure and being a part of it is an honor. I'm finishing my second sci-fi/ fantasy novel and have begun the long and tedious editing phase. Super excited to share this new epic with the world!
You have my enthusiastic support for writing an epic fantasy tale. I appreciate you taking the time to write this. Hello, and thank you for joining DDF.
Love the collection of resources you've created! I'm Nita, a microbiologist, healthcare consultant, and podcaster. I'm excited for the age of ubiquitous computing when technology will be so seamlessly integrated into our daily lives that it'll fade into the background as though it doesn't exist. In other words, I look forward to the day when we'll reap the benefits of technology minus the hassle.
Hi Nita, thank you so much for taking the time to leave your comment! Welcome to DDF. We can take advantage of AI technology without programming skills - it's just a matter of how we use it. By using AI, you can do many things automatically, such as generate videos and music
I believe in the idea that technology is a part of our daily lives, but we have to be careful not to get lost in the details.
What felt as a bad thing yesterday, seems like a good thing today. Is it really a bad thing or good thing. I will never know. It will always depend on what keeps happening in the future. Always.
Hello everyone! My name is John and I am a fairly new writer, currently publishing mine and my team's work on Medium. I love all fiction but cyberpunk is by far my favorite genre.
Well, hello there, Aris.
Always.
And yes, that is what excites me.
The beauty of uncertainty...
I’m interested in having my article published
I am curious about your articles

Excited to be a part of this community. The decisions we make now are going to define how our culture and humanity grow and progress for the next several hundred years. (if our decisions we make now get us that far.)
John David, thank you for your response. Feedback is a vehicle for us to communicate this with one another and help make better decisions moving forward.
